Viruses We Created
Amid all the tension and frightening news about to novel Coronavirus, I came to realize the fact that the human race, for itself, has created so many viruses.
I realized that:
Buying new clothes every month is not all that necessary.
We can celebrate birthdays at home, without the need of spending fortunes yet still enjoy every moment of it with the ones that are most important to us.
Having tea with your spouse is surprisingly more relaxing than with your friends.
That expensive school can not educate our children. Only we can.
The teachers were perhaps not wrong after all.
And that car I was thinking of buying, yeah well, that can wait for another couple of years!
This disease has highlighted the fact that we spent so much of our hard-earned money on unnecessary things.
For what? Did we actually need to?
Is this disease actually helping us defeat these self-made viruses by triggering the revival of our societies and embracing simplicity?
All the things, we felt made us happy, now seem useless.
All the people, we spent money on, just to be part of their social circle, are now locked up in their homes.
Imagine if we had spent that time with our spouse, our children, our parents and siblings, we could have developed bonds that would strengthen us to go through this calamity.
The fear that is breaking us now, is the very fear, that brings us together. Now is the time to rectify those mistakes. You and I can not cure this disease. Reading about it every hour will only make us turn into psychopaths. A distressed mind will never be able to see the good around it.
Turn off that TV and switch off your cell phone. Talk to your spouse, play with your kids, listen to your parents and start learning that skill you have always wanted to.
Now is the time, you may never have again. LIVE NOW!
